The vacation rental is located in the basement and is accessible via a staircase. It is equipped to a high standard and largely handmade – by the landlord himself, an experienced master carpenter. Inspired by trips to England, a special place to feel good was created.

In the immediate vicinity are the three well-known Eifel Maars: Schalkenmehrener, Weinfelder and Gemündener Maar. Here you can relax, hike or simply enjoy nature.

There is also much to discover for those who like to be active: the Maare-Mosel cycle path, the Eifelsteig trail, museums, golf courses, the Moselle region and Trier.

Living room

You can spend relaxing hours in the stylishly furnished, south-facing living room – even on days when the weather isn’t so good.

The room is equipped with lovingly selected antiques and a large bookcase that offers a wide selection of literature – also in English. Comfortable sofas invite you to sit back and relax. Here you can read, listen to music or enjoy a cozy evening in front of the TV.

Kitchen

The beautiful, fully equipped kitchen offers everything you need for a pleasant stay. Here you will find dishes, cutlery and all the important household appliances to cater for yourself.

The adjoining dining area invites you to sit together comfortably – ideal for a joint breakfast, a glass of wine in the evening or simply good conversations in a relaxed atmosphere.

From here you can directly access the large, sunny terrace with a view of nature.

Bedroom

The two bedrooms – one double and one single – are furnished with great attention to detail in an English country house style. Light furniture, fine fabrics and carefully selected antiques give the rooms a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Both rooms are located in the quiet, shady part of the apartment and are awakened by the sun in the morning – ideal for a relaxing start to the day.

Bathroom

The charming natural stone bathroom with shower and toilet has natural light and is equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The high-quality natural stone tiles and loving details create a warm, harmonious atmosphere.

Fresh towels, soft bathrobes and a hairdryer are of course available for you – everything you need to refresh and relax.

Outdoor area

You can enjoy the sun or relax in the shade on the spacious, south-facing terrace. The area is partially covered and equipped with comfortable seating and loungers – ideal for relaxing.

Your vacation rental is located in the idyllic village of Schalkenmehren, in the heart of the Volcanic Eifel region. The picturesque village is nestled between rolling hills and the famous Eifel Maars – a landscape that is characterized by its volcanic past and today inspires with its originality and tranquility.

Just a few steps away is the Schalkenmehrener Maar, one of the most beautiful and largest Maars in the region. Here you can swim in the summer, go pedal boating or simply take a walk along the shore and let your gaze wander over the deep blue water.

The surrounding area also offers many opportunities for active vacationers. Hiking enthusiasts can discover the impressive natural scenery of the Volcanic Eifel on the Eifelsteig and numerous circular trails. Cyclists can enjoy the Maare-Mosel cycle path, which leads along a former railway line through forests, valleys and small villages to the Moselle. The Senheld airfield offers breathtaking sightseeing flights over the region. You can also experience the beautiful Eifel on a balloon ride. If you prefer peace and quiet, you will find numerous places to linger and switch off in nature.

In just a few minutes you can reach Daun with its Volcano Museum, the Maars and the Wild & Adventure Park. The castles of Manderscheid, the Moselle region or the Nürburgring with its adventure world are also worthwhile excursion destinations.
